My Husband Was Fingerprinted.....

I always knew that eventually, if I spent enough time with my husband, I would see the inside of the sheriffs office.  Well, that happened today.  He was fingerprinted by the Binford 2500 Super Duper fingerprinting machine.  Guaranteed results in 48 hours.  Now, before you jump to conclusions, even though I have led you down that road, it was for community service.  He has joined the Sheriff's Posse and had to pass the background check.  Part of that check was fingerprints.  While in the Sheriff's office, we got the 50 cent tour which meant meeting the Captain and even the SWAT Team leader.  Nice guys, hope we don't need their services later.  Wish I had brought my camera with me, I kind of would like to have made a Christmas card out of the actual fingerprinting.  Oh Yeah!  Redneck to the bone.

Those would have been awesome Christmas cards! When I was a parole officer, I was in more county jails and prisons than anyone I know. My husband would tell people, yep, the wife's been in that one! They wouldn't know what to think.

A likely story. Fingerprinted, hmm. Just joking. I think that would have made a wonderful Christmas card. I've always wanted to send out one of those totally obnoxious Christmas letters and say something like, "Everything is so much better, since hubby had the sex change operation and I got out of jail." Who knows one day I just might get up the nerve to do it.

I knew the best horse show husband couldn't have really been in trouble.

Ya, that fingerprinting thing is a killer. LOL The process sure has changed since mine were done. Back then it was very black inky stuff that wouldn't wash off for days. All that for a security clearance so I could be a filing clerk. Makes no sense to me, but then guess I'm not a criminal type so I didn't understand what there might be for me to steal.

Go figure... A voluntary position, to go out on your own time, most likely in the dark, cold and bad terrain, to find someone lost. And, they need his fingerprints....
Oh, and remember, no pay.
